A Foundation of Principles.

A Commitment to Purpose.

8 Bar Enterprises was founded on the belief that meaningful financial decisions begin with a clear understanding of purpose. We believe insurance should address genuine needs, complement thoughtful financial planning, and serve the long-term interests of individuals and families. Our approach emphasizes integrity, disciplined analysis, and collaboration with trusted professional advisors.

Founded by a former U.S. Army infantry officer with more than two decades of experience in financial services, 8 Bar Enterprises reflects a career shaped by leadership, entrepreneurship, and service. After building and successfully selling an investment advisory business, our founder established 8 Bar Enterprises to focus on specialized insurance solutions and the relationships that make thoughtful planning possible.

Purpose Before Action

During my seven years as a U.S. Army infantry officer, I learned an important distinction between understanding a task and understanding its purpose.

A task tells us what to do. Purpose explains why it matters.

That distinction has shaped my approach to leadership, business, and financial planning. Before recommending a strategy, we seek to understand what our clients and their advisors are ultimately trying to accomplish.

Understanding purpose provides direction, while principles guide decisions and disciplined action supports your planning objectives.

At 8 Bar Enterprises, we believe thoughtful solutions begin with asking the right questions—not selecting a product.

The Meaning Behind 8 Bar

The name 8 Bar Enterprises represents more than a business. It reflects the principles, experiences, and convictions that have shaped our founder's life.

A Reminder About Wealth and Stewardship

Deuteronomy 8 provides a timeless reminder about prosperity, humility, and responsibility. It cautions against allowing financial success to become a source of pride or forgetting the values and relationships that give wealth its meaning.

This perspective influences our belief that wealth is not simply something to accumulate, but something to steward thoughtfully and intentionally.

Eight Principles. One Foundation.

The number eight also represents the seven core values of the United States Army, together with an eighth principle that stands at the center of our founder's life: Family.

These eight principles guide how we conduct business, build relationships, and serve others.

Our Eight Guiding Principles

Loyalty - Remaining faithful to our commitments and relationships.

Duty - Fulfilling our responsibilities with diligence and discipline.

Respect - Treating every individual with dignity and consideration.

Selfless Service - Placing the interests of those we serve ahead of personal gain.

Honor - Upholding the values that define our character.

Integrity - Doing what is right, even when no one is watching.

Personal Courage - Having the conviction to make difficult decisions.

Family - Recognizing the relationships and responsibilities that give our work meaning.

Our Principles Define Who We Are. Our Purpose Guides What We Do.

These values are not simply statements on a page. They form the foundation of our approach to business, relationships, and the responsibility of serving individuals and families.
